Last night, streamer Ben 'DrLupo' Lupo revealed the 18-member roster of the second semester of Junior Rogue on his stream. The program - created in a partnership opportunity between esports organisation Team Rogue, non-profit organisation Find Your Grind, and esports organisation ReKTGlobal - plans to guide the next generation of esports athletes.
Junior Rogue will provide mentorship opportunities from top Fortnite influencers, including DrLupo himself, as well as access to unique resources and a $500 USD scholarship grant. Junior Rogue players will receive several unique benefits that include recognition from the Rogue organisation, plus streaming and graphical assets for their social media and streaming channels. They will also have access to select Find Your Grind events and exclusive Junior Rogue merchandise.
The recipients will be required to attend weekly online seminars that will highlight the many career opportunities the esports industry offers, as well as having sessions that focus on resume building and access to streamed online tournaments to showcase their skill.
Amish Shah, founder of ReKTGlobal and co-owner of Team Rogue, said: "The Junior Rogue program is structured like basketball camp for the next generation of esports stars who love Fortnite. We are excited to kick off the new semester and improve upon the success of the previous semester by providing some of the best players in the nation with unforgettable mentorship and scholarship opportunities that allow them to further pursue their passions for esports and gaming."
DrLupo adds: "I'm so excited for the next wave of players to join Junior rogue. I know they'll learn so much and I can't wait to have my time with them too".
Junior Rogue applicants must be under the age of 18, reside in the US, and have a waiver signed by a parent/ guardian in order to apply. They then must be approved by a member of Find Your Grind and Rogue before being selected for the program, and more information can be found on the Find Your Grind website.
