One of the most versed Rainbow Six: Siege players in the scene has announced that he is retiring from the competitive scene, after being part of it for over five years. Dimitri "Panix" de Longeaux will be stepping back from the game, and has credited the stress of the "instability of the job" as a major factor.

"As you may have seen in the original tweet, I decided to take a step back from competitive Rainbow 6," said Panix, before continuing on saying in a TLDR, "I am sick of the constant stress coming from the instability of the job in the present, but also for the future and I am looking to get back to a "normal" life, as it's passing by and I am missing too much of it."

Panix's retirement post is a lengthy one that delves into several different aspects to his decision alongside proving an insightful look at the Rainbow Six Siege pro scene. You can read the full post here, but if you'd like to know what Panix intends to do in the immediate future, he has stated, "I will keep streaming, hopefully make some content with the years of clips I gathered and share my experience." He also did note that coaching or analysis isn't out of the question, so keep an eye out in case he looks to make an appearance doing either of these roles.
