North are the champions of DreamHack Masters Stockholm

They beat Danish rivals Astralis in the final.
Sam Bishop 3 Setembro 2018

This past weekend saw the DreamHack Masters competition in Stockholm take place, hosting 16 teams who were all competing for the prize pool of $250,000 USD, and it was an all-Danish final as North beat Astralis to take home the trophy and $100,000 of that pot.

North started off in Group A and defeated TyLoo and Astralis to get out of the group with a 2-0 record, meaning Astralis had to also beat TyLoo to advance in second place. In the playoffs North then took on Group B's second-place team NaVi, beating them 2-0 before facing Mousesports in the semi-final. Despite a crushing performance by Mousesports on Dust II, North turned the tables on Inferno and Mirage to win 16-14 and 16-12 respectively, putting them through to the final.

Just as they had been dominated on Dust II before, North dished out the dominance on the same map against Astralis, before Astralis fought back to level the score with a 16-6 win on Train. With Danish pride on the line, as well as the trophy, Overpass was the decider, and North came out on top of this Nordic battle.

Can North get more wins over Astralis in the future?
