The NBA 2K League and streaming platform Twitch has announced a multiyear partnership that will include livestreams of all the games in the competition, which represents the first media deal the 2K League has made, and will come into effect on May 1 when the tournament starts.

The League already made its premiere on Twitch with the draft on April 4 in New York City, where each of the 17 teams selected six players, and now Twitch will provide livestreams of up to 199 games throughout the season, including playoffs, finals, weekly matchups, and more. There will also be additional updates, analysis, and commentary for fans to enjoy.

"This is a groundbreaking partnership for the NBA 2K League," said NBA 2K League Managing Director Brendan Donohue. "Twitch shares our innovative spirit and commitment to putting the gaming community first, and is the ideal home to provide our passionate 2K, NBA and esports fans around the world with the opportunity to catch all the excitement of our inaugural season."

Twitch will continue to work with the league to build extensions like custom overlays, so as to provide new fan engagement avenues to enhance the viewing experience.
