A team has been disqualified from the $3 million Fortnite Championship Series after professional Fortnite player Wrigley sent an offensive tweet to Epic Games CEO Donald Mustard.

As reported by Dot Esports, the tweet read, "Like literally fucking k!ll your$elf @DonaldMustard," and has since been removed following the deletion of Wrigley's account.

Wrigley and his team, including Dictate and Userz were apparently in the sixth game of their of the NA East portion of the tournament when they were disqualified, and while they were not at the top of the standings, they were in the running for some prize money.

The team was informed of their disqualification by an email sent to Dictate that read, "We are writing to inform you of your team's disqualification and removal from the Chapter 2 Season 5 FNCS competition, effective immediately. Based on an internal investigation, a member of your team has violated Section 8.1.2 of the Official Rules, which reads as follows: Players must be respectful of other players, Event Administrators, spectators, and sponsors."

Due to Wrigley's actions, Dictate and Userz did not receive any prize money for competing in the tournament.

Thanks, Dot Esports.
