Back in March Astralis and FaZe Clan faced each other in the final of IEM Katowice, with Astralis taking home the trophy, but FaZe Clan got their revenge at the StarSeries Season 3 grand final in Kiev yesterday.
Almost as if mirroring the grand final at IEM Katowice, Astralis took home the first map on Mirage, but FaZe responded with their own solid win on Nuke, leaving the last map, Inferno, with all to play for. Faze wobbled in the first half of this game, but came out of the gates in the second half roaring, beating Astralis and sealing the title for themselves.
This must have meant even more for the team as it was their first tournament victory, and the first title for high-profile transfer Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, not to mention the $125,000 USD in prize money. Are FaZe Clan now among the best in CS:GO right now?
