Heroic to replace Evil Geniuses at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown

Heroic are even set to compete in a few days' time.

The esports organisation, Evil Geniuses will be replaced by Heroic at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown event, set to begin later today. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament has invited 16 teams to compete, but due to Covid-related logistical issues, Evil Geniuses had to pull out at the last minute.

Heroic recently won the Dreamhack Open Fall 2020 tournament, netting $33,000 in prize money. By now making it to this event, Heroic will be looking to reflect that success in a tournament with a considerably larger prize pool - sitting at $150,000.

Whilst Evil Geniuses has been invited back to BLAST Premier for the Global Final in January, they will not be attending this event. However, you can look to see the first match of the tournament at 12:30 GMT today (November 24), between Complexity and Sprout. Make sure to catch the action right here.
