Cloud9 victorious at iBuyPower Masters 2017

After a seemingly tough pool of teams to beat, Cloud9's Counter-Strike team came out on top to claim the $100,000 prize pool at the iBuyPower Masters 2017, their second victory in the space of two months.

Cloud9 overcame a prior loss to Renegade in the group matches last week, taking the loss as a learning point. With a 2-1 record in their group play, Cloud9 then had to take on Team Liquid in the semi-finals.

The match against Team Liquid was incredibly close to begin with, but Cloud9 took off in the third map to win the game.

Waiting for them in the final was Renegades. Despite a previous loss to the team, Cloud9 seemed stronger than ever, beating the team 2-0 with a very strong performance from Stewie2k in particular.

This reinforces Cloud9's legendary North American favourite status, proving they can go toe-to-toe with any team thrown their way.
