Scarlett claims world record for highest earning female player

StarCraft II player Sasha "Scarlett" Hostyn has achieved the Guinness World Record for the highest earning female esports player as well as the most esports tournament results by a female player.

The record, set on October 5 but only recently being discovered and publicised, celebrates Scarlett's winnings of $144,414 US dollars, surpassing Kaherine "Mystik" Gunn, who had the record from 2015 at $20,000.

This is a remarkable achievement for females in esports as well as Scarlett as an individual, who has placed highly in WCS and MLG events, just to name a few, claiming finishing places in 91 tournaments since 2011 and winning 18 of them.
