The American esports organisation Complexity Gaming has announced that it has expanded its partnership with the U.S. Army. This will see the pair furthering the efforts of its co-run Soldier Showdown tournament, which will now run for 23 weeks and will span five unique video games.
"Our partnership with the U.S. Army continues to be one of the most rewarding," said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare Esports. "This year, we're doubling down on our 3-year relationship and hosting the most ambitious edition of the Soldier Showdown yet to provide our servicemen and women a chance to strengthen their bonds with one another and enjoy friendly competition."
The competition will start on May 28, and will see players competing in Halo Infinite, Madden NFL 22, Call of Duty: Warzone, Rocket League, and Apex Legends. It's said that the top ranked players will earn a host of different prizes, which includes gift cards, Complexity merchandise, and more.
There's no word if the expanded partnership will also see the pair continuing to work together beyond the original partnership that started back in 2019.
