Variety has reported that Will Ferrell will star in an upcoming comedy about an esports star, with Gary Sanchez and Mosaic set to produce the film using a script by Michael Kvamme and Jordan Dunn.
Patrick Connelly and John Beach, of Gravity Squared, are also co-producing the film, which will see Ferrell starring as a player on a pro esports team. As with many of Will Ferrell's characters, he isn't exactly normal in this film though, as his character isn't within the usual age bracket of the early 20s.
Variety also claim that pro teams Fnatic and Evil Geniuses are in talks to feature in the film, and the whole project will apparently be similar to Talladega Nights.
Universal will distribute the film, which as of yet is untitled. What do you think a suitable title would be for this film, based on what we know so far?
