It wasn't all that long ago that we announced that 100 Thieves - the esports organisation owned by former Call of Duty player Matthew 'Nadeshot' Haag - announced that they'd be expanding into CS:GO, adding to their presence in the North American League of Legends Championship Series, but now the official Twitter of the organisation has revealed the team is already being dropped.
The roster comprised of mostly ex-Immortals players who were dropped back in September after showing up late for the DreamHack Montreal tournament final against Danish side North, and hadn't played a single game for 100 Thieves before the announcement was made that they'd be dropped.
Despite five months of ongoing work on this venture, the statement says that "roster complications and ongoing visa issues" are the main things that are causing 100 Thieves to step away, and that all the players have been released from their contracts, becoming free agents.
At the end of the announcement the organisation writes that although this is a disappointing move, it's still a "tough learning experience for all of us". Are you disappointed too?
